On Cloudboom Strike is On’s high-stacked racing shoe, built with a removable Bounceboard insole and carbon Speedboard® plate. It delivers a softer, springier ride than On’s earlier race shoes.

• Stack height reaches 39.5mm heel / 35.5mm forefoot, at the racing regulation limit

• CloudTec® elements built into the outsole smooth the roll-through phase
• Ultralight, semi-transparent mesh upper helps reduce overheating during races
• Midfoot cage improves lockdown, though laces run long and benefit from double-knotting

Softer and Bouncier Than On’s Previous Race Shoe

Compared to the Cloudboom Echo 3, testers describe Strike as noticeably softer and more responsive underfoot. It performs best for forefoot and midfoot strikers, particularly at faster efforts, while heel strikers may find better-suited options elsewhere in On’s racing lineup.

Fit & Sizing Notes

Several testers report the Cloudboom Strike runs about half a size large. The heel collar feels structured but stiff, so pairing it with cushioned socks helps prevent irritation.
