THE ROGER Pro 3 Clay – Performance Tennis Shoe for Clay Courts
THE ROGER Pro 3 Clay is On’s performance tennis shoe, built for players who live for clay. It’s the third generation of the Roger Pro line, developed with Roger Federer and Ben Shelton, tuned for explosive acceleration and hard sliding.
What Makes THE ROGER Pro 3 Clay Different
- Carbon fibre Speedboard in the mid-foot adds lateral stability during sliding
- Helion HF hyper foam — first used in an On tennis shoe — boosts energy return
- Engineered mesh upper stays breathable and resists abrasion during slides
- Integrated cage lacing system locks the foot down without extra weight
- Diamond-pattern rubber outsole built specifically for clay-court traction
- New heel clip system helps prevent foot roll on quick direction changes
- Flexible forefoot construction supports natural movement and better court feel
Built From Real Tour Feedback
Ben Shelton tested the Pro 3 through the Australian Open before its April 2026 launch. His feedback on staying fast, low, and quick to change direction shaped this shoe’s geometry. Compared to the Pro 2, players report a bigger toe box and noticeably more cushioning without losing court feel.
Fit & Break-In Notes
True to size with a medium width. The midfoot cage feels snug at first, especially for high-arch feet — it loosens naturally after a few sessions. Runs slightly roomier at the toe than the Pro 2.

Prefer more surfaces than clay? THE ROGER Pro 3 also comes in a hard-court build. For a lighter, more budget-friendly option, THE ROGER Advantage Pro Clay uses a herringbone outsole for similar clay grip at a lower price point.
